Cheapest Flights

So you are looking for the cheapest flights ...

There are so many variables at play when you try to get the cheapest flights, so you have to run searches at a number of sites.

There are three types of airfare websites:

1. Aggregators (ex: Kayak) that check airfares for many different airlines. They do not charge a fee but instead rely on affiliate hotel deals and on-site advertising to make their money. Great place to start first.

2. Booking engines (ex: Orbitz, Expedia) that check multiple websites and take a small fee in addition to the price of the flight. They process the sale on behalf of the airline and keep the fee.

3. Airline's own websites. If you find a flight on booking engines, check the airline's own site so see if you can get it for the same price minus the booking fee.

Airplane flight

Courier companies sell cheap flights in exchange for using your checked luggage allotment for business items such as documents and computer parts which need to get somewhere fast. Therefore your pack should be small enough to carry on. Your job is to show up at the airport on time, meet someone with the ticket, and board the airplane. You do not usually ever handle the checked baggage.

Courier flights are best if you only have a short amount of time, as return flights are scheduled two to thirty days later. Courier companies usually require your presence for the return flight, but sometimes you can get "no return service required." It's also very unlikely that two people can fly courier on the same flight.
